Mario Kart 8 Web Service Revealed

Nintendo have announced a new web service for Mario Kart 8.

The web service for Mario Kart 8 will be available for both PC and Smart Phone users and will let users access replays and other information.

The web service was revealed by company president Satoru Iwata and is currently titled Mario Kart TV. Players will be able to browse through race highlights, whilst also watch hint videos uploaded by Nintendo.

Players will need to log in with their Nintendo Network ID to see information relevant to them. Satoru Iwata stated:

This Mario Kart TV web service is available even for players without NNIDs, but by logging into the service with an NNID, they will be able to easily find their rankings, videos that their friends have shared, and videos of tournaments in which they have participated, and it will be convenient to access this service through smart devices even when they are not at home.

We will work on providing this type of service so that players can enjoy video games more and be in contact with them even when they are not in front of a video game system.
