Mario Kart 8 Wii U Bundle Announced

by

As expected, Nintendo has today officially announced the ‘Mario Kart 8 Premium Pack – Special Edition’ for the Wii U. In simple English, that means that a Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle will be released on 30th May when the game launches.

Nintendo call the bundle “an ideal offering for first-time Wii U owners”, a fair way to be describe it to be honest. The bundle will include:

  • Black Wii U Premium console with 32GB storage
  • Black Wii U GamePad controller
  • Sensor bar
  • Mario Kart 8 game disc

Here’s a handy image showing the contents too. You know, just in case you struggle with words.

In a slightly strange move, Nintendo also announced two new versions of the Wii Remote Plus. To “pay tribute” to Princess Peach and Yoshi, on 30th May each character will get their very own themed version of the controller. Check out the images below.

Nice and colourful then? Oh and Nintendo also want you hardcore fans to remember that you can pre-order the Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition. It’s a tad more costly than the standard version, but comes with a Spiny Shell Collector’s Item alongside a copy of the game. You can pre-order it right now while stocks last from the Official Nintendo Online Store. Mmm. Spiny Shell.
