Capcom has revealed that Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes will be released on the iOS App Store in Europe and North America on April 25th.
Originally released back in 2000 as an arcade title and then on the Sega Dreamcast in the same year, Marvel vs. Capcom: New Age of Heroes was a well received title with many gamers claiming that the game is one of the best fighting titles ever released. Capcom has revealed that the iOS version of the game, which will be released on the iPhone and iPod Touch will feature all 56 characters from the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the current consoles and will also have the same fighting mechanics which makes the series so popular. The iOS version will also feature a Variable System that allows players to swap in team members at any time, and also Team Hyper Combos which uses all three fighters on one team . At present, the title is only listed as a iPhone and iPod Touch release but its more than likely the game will run on the iPad but unfortunately, it will not be a iPad ‘specific’ app and won’t take full advantage of the iPad’s huge screen.
