Max Payne 3 Delayed

Take-Two has announced that Max Payne 3 will not be released until May to ensure the game delivers the highest quality.

UPDATE: Rockstar Games has stated Max Payne 3 is set to launch on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 15th in North America and May 18th internationally. The PC version will be released on May 29th in North America and June 1st internationally.

The title was originally set to come out in March, but it has now been pushed back two months so the development team can deliver the best game possible. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two had this to say regarding the delay:

“We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company,Max Payne 3 promises to be one of our most exciting releases to date, and we are confident that consumers will once again be amazed by Rockstar’s ability to take interactive entertainment to another level.”
