Good news for all the PlayStation Vita owning Metal Gear fans out there, as Konami has today announced that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be coming to Sony’s handheld at the end of June.
There’s no specific release date, but think of it as a stealthy little gift for your Vita after the madness that is E3. Well, that’s how we’re looking it!
The Vita version of the HD collection will feature enhanced versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Both titles will boast graphical make-overs, trophies and controls systems designed to take advantage of Vita’s touch-screen capabilities. Kojima Productions’ unique Transfarring system will make an appearance too, allowing you to share data with your PlayStation 3.
Sadly, it seems like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (featured in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions), won’t be included as part of the bundle coming to Vita in June. Still, you’ll be able to play two of the best PlayStation 2 games ever in glorious HD on your Vita as you travel around. How cool is that?
