Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Coming To PS Vita This Summer

by

Not too long to go until you’ll be able to rendezvous with Snake on the go, as Konami has today announced that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be heading to the PlayStation Vita this Summer.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on the Vita will include updates of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Both titles will feature enhanced visuals, trophies and a controls system that is designed to make use of the Vita’s touch-screen capabilities. In addition to all that, both classics will also include a reworked user interface and make use of Kojima Productions’ unique Transfarring system, so you can share data with the PlayStation 3.

There is no mention of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, a title that was part of the recent home console release, so we can only assume that it won’t be part of the HD bundle for the Vita.

Martin Schneider, General Manager for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH stated:

“The PlayStation Vita system will provide fans with an exciting new way to enjoy the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. We’re confident that users will be pleased with the new innovations Kojima Productions have implemented with the new PlayStation Vita iterations, offering a truly unique experience for this exciting new format.”
