Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D Release Date Announced

by

Konami has today announced that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will sneak onto the Nintendo 3DS on March 8th.

In addition to the announcement of the release date, Konami also confirmed that the update of the PlayStation 2 classic will make use of the Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Pro accessory.

The game will, of course, take advantage the handheld’s 3D capabilities, but it also has a few other tricks up its virtual sleeves too. Thanks to the split-screen design of the 3DS, accessing Snake’s inventory will be easier than ever. The game will also support gyro synchronization, for special actions such as balancing on narrow ledges. With the addition of Circle Pad Pro, targeting enemies will now be easier too, with the second Circle Pad allowing users to target distant foes with ease.

Wait, the unique features don’t end there, as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will make use of a Nintendo 3DS exclusive camouflage photography system. The all-new feature will enable Snake to alter his outfit to match and blend in with his immediate environment. You will also be able to take a picture of real-life items and create a camo suit based on them. However, the extent of its effectiveness will still depend on how well your pictures blend with Snake’s environment. Now that’s what we call a cool feature!
