Metroid Prime 4 rebooted with original trilogy developers

by

This is just a reboot

If you’re really looking forward to Metroid Prime 4 then I’d take a seat. Nintendo has announced that the game has been scrapped and will instead be made by Retro Studios, the developers behind the original trilogy.

This news will obviously be a disappointment to most Metroid fans, and Nintendo has, quite rightly, disabled comments for the video. But disappointment aside it’s clear that the project wasn’t quite going in the direction that Nintendo had hoped so this will only be a positive in the long run.

With the original developers now behind Metroid Prime 4 I’m all the more excited to get my hands on it, even if we do have to wait a little longer to give it a go.

Web developer by day, game developer by night. Mostly cranky. Mostly.
