Microsoft Studios have given the all clear for take off to their new freemium flight simulator, Microsoft Flight. The series reboot will be coming to PC gamers worldwide February 29th.
Following last months announcement and beta we finally have a locked in date for the anticipated downloadable simulator that will surely have fans of the series reaching for their joysticks in excitement. The best news is that you’ll be able to download and play completely free in the confines of the big island of Hawaii. On top of that, anyone who wishes to take their experience deeper will be able to purchase and unlock the remaining islands of Hawaii with the Hawaiian Adventure Pack, which is the first in a series of expansions for the game.
In addition to the Adventure Pack, fans who sign in via their Games for Windows – LIVE account will also have two new planes available to purchase, the Maule M-7-260C and the North American P-51 Mustang.
All aircraft in “Microsoft Flight” have been created with detailed graphics and accurate physics to immerse players in the flying experience. Players can choose to take the helm using highly rendered, accurate cockpits and authentic piloting procedures, or simply use their mouse and keyboard to control the plane in an exterior view. More experienced players can tailor the flight controls to match their skill level, making “Microsoft Flight” easy for beginners while still challenging for the most accomplished PC pilots.
