If you are playing Call of Duty on the PlayStation 4 but your mate has it on the Xbox One, don’t worry! You could be playing together very soon.
Microsoft have today stated their desire to unlock cross-network play. Speaking about their ID@Xbox program, director Chris Charla stated:
In addition to natively supporting cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 games that use Xbox Live, we’re enabling developers to support cross-network play as well. This means players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.
It seems that Rocket League will be the first title, with PC players being able to play with Xbox One players this Spring, with other platforms also being teased by Psynonix. Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
