Namco Bandai Announce Demos & DLC For Their PS Vita Launch Titles

You hear that folks, that’s the sound of the PlayStation Vita launch coming ever closer. Lucky for you, the folks at Namco Bandai hear it too, as they’ve today announced you guys can expect to access a wealth of extra content for their three launch titles via the PlayStation Network, including an app, demos and downloadable content.

First up, if you purchase a retail copy Ridge Racer on launch (or digital vcopy before March 31st) you will find a receive a “Gold Pass” which unlocks the following content:

  • Five new cars: PROMESSA, ELENIE, DIGNISTAR, FATALITA and MELTFIRE
  • Three new courses: Old Central, Sunset Heights and Lost Ruins
  • Two new music tracks: NEW SONGS PACK 01
  • One new extended music mix: LONG MIX BGM 01

Don’t worry if you miss out on the Gold Pass as you’ll be able to purchase it separately from the PlayStation for 6.99€. In addition to that, a Silver Pass will be available in April for 5.99€ , which will give you access to more Ridge Racer content.

That’s not all for Ridge Racer content though, as Namco Bandai will also be releasing an exclusive app for the PlayStation Vita, giving fans access to an unique interactive audio and video experience.

Next up is Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, Namco Bandai will be releasing a free demo of the ninja action title, featuring a tutorial and one mission. They’ve also promised some DLC for the game after its launches that will include more enemies and bosses for you to take on.

To finish up, Namco Bandai announced they will be releasing a demo for Touch My Katamari featuring a tutorial and one mission in March. In addition to that, you can expect a “cosmic explosion” of free and premium DLC over the months after release.
