New details about the Animal Crossing title for the Nintendo 3DS have come about from a developer roundtable video released by Nintendo of Japan.
According to the video, gamers will be able to become Mayor for the first time in an Animal Crossing game. When you become Mayor, you will be able to upgrade the town by adding in various new features.
Tom Nook will now be a real estate agent, with a new supermarket replacing the familiar town shop. You will also be able customise your house a little more, including painting the outer walls, fence, roof, mailbox, and furniture.
Animal Crossing 3DS has yet to be given a firm release date, but is scheduled to hit Nintendo’s handheld sometime in 2012.
