Capcom have announced that Dragon’s Dogma players can come together in order to battle against an immensely powerful dragon known as the Ur-Dragon.
Players, with their party of Pawns from around the world are able to complete collectively online in a asynchronous encounter against the legendary Ur-Dragon via Xbox LIVE or the PlayStation Network. The effect from each party’s attacks will be combined but players must be warned that the dragon’s immense strength means that it will take a lot of encounters before it ultimately falls. The one who deals the fatal blow will receive the maximum reward, but all players can still obtain common and rare items which are dropped by the Ur-Dragon when they cause damage.
Players who do not have an internet connection can also take on the Ur-Dragon alone, but the rewards are quite different to those who received online. All players that defeat the dragon will also have their names and play times recorded in a hall of fame in which others can view and try and beat.
