Unfortunately, it seems that we will not be getting a new installment in the Need for Speed series this year.
Speaking during a financial call on Tuesday, EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that whilst Ghost Games are working on a new Need for Speed title, they have planned an extensive development window.
Ghost Games is working on innovative new chapter of the franchise, (we have) planned an extended development window to ensure a high quality experience for NFS players next year
