PlayerKnown’s Battlegrounds
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold 10 million units since its early access launch in March of this year.
10 MILLION SOLD! Never did I think we would reach such a number! Thank you all for your continuing support of the @PUBATTLEGROUNDS team <3

Chances are you’ve heard of PUBG by now and if you haven’t you might genuinely be dead. It’s currently sitting at the top spot on Steam’s most played games, peaking at just under 1 million concurrent players over the last few days. It’s also holding the 2nd place spot for the most streamed game on Twitch which is certainly no mean feat. All of this from a game that hasn’t officially been released yet.
With the ridiculous success of PUBG, today’s tweet from PlayerUnknown himself shouldn’t be too surprising nor should it be downplayed. 10 million sales for any game is mighty impressive, least not for a game that is currently only available on Steam and, as I said previously, isn’t technically released yet. It certainly doesn’t look this is a flash in the pan success either. During a talk at Gamescom, a couple of weeks back, a brand new map was teased, along with a few other tidbits of info including new vehicles and weapons.
The Xbox One version is also on the way, expected to be released over the next couple of months, with an Xbox One X enhanced version shortly following. It was also heavily suggested that the game will be coming to PS4 at some point too, well, if you read between the lines of what wasn’t said. It certainly seems like an inevitability based on the rampant success seen so far.
That’s our hot take today. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is popular. Here’s to the next 10 million sales!
