At the end of the month, from the 26th to the 28th of February, here at NGB are going to be raising money for SpecialEffect, through the GameBlast 2016 event. How, you ask? Well, let me tell you.
We will be doing a full weekend of live streams, from PES 2016 to Until Dawn. From Rainbow Six Siege to Hearthstone. We are also going to be giving away a LOAD of games, including some ridiculously rare items! To make things even more interesting, Ben is going to be doing a full 24hr live stream on Saturday the 27th through to Sunday the 28th – and it’s going to be a doozy. Hell, it’ll probably worth watching to see a man lose his mind!
A brief bit about SpecialEffect first off. They’re an amazing charity that do so much for disabled people to help them play video games. However, the work they do isn’t cheap, and this is where you come in. Help us to help them make a difference in people’s lives. Imagine waking up and finding out you’ve been in a car accident. You can’t move your hands in the ways you used to, and your hobby is dead to you. That’s where these guys come in, and enable you to enjoy your favourite things all over again. So, how are we going to raise the money, I hear you ask… Well, throughout the streams, we will be giving away a collection of games, merchandise and simply ridiculous items that you simply can’t buy without resorting to eBay. These are ridiculously rare. Only given to select press outlets to review the Nathan Drake collection, this contains the full game, and a USB stick shaped like a bullet, with all of the press assets on. Also included is a lovely little art book.
Until Dawn PRESS KIT (Provided by Sony)
A similar situation to the above. Ridiculously rare, this contains the full game and a whole host of promo material, all included in a (purposely) battered tin.
The above items are super rare, and easily worth a punt at £2. If you donate to us, you could be walking away with them! Even the team don’t have these, this is how rare they are!
UPDATE: 10/02 – AUDIO TECHNICA ADG1 HEADSETS
The folks at Audio Technica have been superbly generous and are donating not one, but TWO ADG1 headsets, worth a storming £200 each, to our prize pool. We recently reviewed the follow up, the ADG1X, but the predecessor is still an excellent headset! You could own one for a mere 1% of the price!!
