Some of you may remember that last year, Team NGB got together and did a whole bunch of streaming in the name of charity for GameBlast 16. We gave away a ton of games, peripherals and apparel to pretty much everyone who donated, and we had one 24 hour solid stream from Ben, and we managed to raise a whopping £725 for the exceptional charity Special Effect!
WHO (are we doing this for)?
SpecialEffect are a charity that help disabled people enjoy their favourite games and break down any barriers that may prevent them from getting back in the game. Whether it be through modified controllers, voice controls or other interfaces, Special Effect help an enormous amount of people who would otherwise be unable to enjoy their favourite pastimes.
WHEN (is this happening)?
With that in mind, we’ve decided that once again, we’re going to do a streaming marathon over the weekend of February 24/25/26th. We will be streaming a whole host of games, and EVERY donation over £5 will be in with a chance of winning some amazing goodies. As of right now, we have a great selection of games, including the Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy XV, Hitman and Overwatch, as well as a stack of Lego Dimensions Year 2 expansions to give away. We also have some fantastic hardware to give away, with headsets from Turtle Beach, and much more to come from our fantastic industry partners.
