Old school new school
The new 3DS XL’s shell is emblazoned with the classic SNES colours and design, sorry Japan but our SNES is better than your Famicon! The lid of the console sports the reset, eject and power buttons from the console alongside the SNES logo and power lights. The base of the console also includes the 4-coloured SNES logo.
Whilst the internals of the machine are remaining the same it’s a mighty fine looking console and one that will certainly appeal to hardcore retro Nintendo fans.
No pricing details have been announced yet however on its release date three games; Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Kirby: Triple Deluxe will be dropping to £15.99 on the Nintendo eShop.
