
Nintendo has just aired a new Nintendo Direct presentation, and we thought we would create a post where you can find all of the news in one handy place!.
News:
They started the show by announcing the launch of Animal Crossing Plaza on the Wii U. This gives a fantastic chance for Animal Crossing fans to talk about their towns and share images with players from all over the world. This will run until the end of next year. Images taken in the latest Animal Crossing game can be shared as well as custom design QR Code patterns from their SD Cards, and organise them in albums.
The Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Welcome a Friend Promotion has also started today. Those who register the game from today will receive a Recommendation Code. You can then give this Recommendation Code to a friend. If your friend registers a Nintendo 3DS XL up to 7th October, and enters this Recommendation Code, your friend will be able to claim a free Download Code for Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Next up was the announcement of Pokemon Rumble U. Players will control toy versions of Pokemon and can do battle against, every one of the 649 Pokémon that have appeared in the video games up to Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2. There is also a special password system which allows players unlock certain Pokémon.
It has also confirmed that Luigi is a playable character in Nintendo’s upcoming title, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS in order to celebrate ‘The Year of Luigi’ in which seems Luigi starring in a huge number of video games and also celebrates the 30th anniversary of Luigi’s first ever appearance in a videogame.
Details on Rayman Legends Wii U was also revealed where the game not only assigns a different role to the player using the Wii U GamePad in multiplayer, it also includes a special bonus: players will be able to unlock a Mario costume for Rayman and a Luigi costume for Globox. Wii U players will also be able to unlock many levels from the previous installment, Rayman Origins.
Art Academy: SketchPad will be available on the Nintendo eShop on August 9th and utilises features from an upcoming edition of the Art Academy series for Wii U to let users create original artwork that can be posted directly to Miiverse.
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney has also been announced for the Nintendo 3DS which will be released early next year whilst also announcing Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy will be released on November 8th.
Other announcements included The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Sonic Lost World release dates.
