Nintendo has applied for a patent for an accessory attachment that will see the standard Wii Remote incorporate a touchpad device into its current default control system for the Nintendo Wii.
The accessory will attach onto the Wii remote and then can be used as touchpad for games. The way it works is that the device will have a mirror and when the touchpad attatched to the remote is touched, it will then light up with red LED beams and then the mirror will pick up the beams from the LED’s and then bounce them off the mirror and in turn, this then converts it into positional data.
Intesting stuff and what this will be used for is anyones guess. What titles would you like to see this attachment used for on the Wii?. Let us know in the comments section below.
