
Nintendo have today revealed their first quarter financial results of its fiscal year ending March 31, 2014.
The results included a return to positive results in both ordinary and net incomes, while operating losses were less than half versus the same period last year. No revisions were made to the previously announced annual financial or unit sales forecasts. The inclTop-line results for the quarter as compared to the same period a year ago (in millions of yen) included:

Nintendo also posted several notable milestones, including the following:
- Sales of Nintendo 3DS hardware and software on a global basis increased by 12 percent and 10 percent, respectively, over Nintendo’s last reported quarter (Jan. 1 – March 31, 2013).
- On a lifetime basis, sales of Wii hardware and Nintendo 3DS software have now each exceeded 100 million units worldwide.
- Revenue generated from downloadable digital content increased by nearly 150 percent over the same time frame last year.
