All the man’s sky
Community events have been long teased since the announcement of No Man’s Sky Next and now that Hello Games have fixed the majority of the bigger issues with the game they’re here.
Specialist Polo and Priest Entity Nada, blinking around the edge of reality in their anomalous spacecraft, are broadcasting a request for assistance. Polo’s advanced boundary monitoring equipment has located a previously undetected iteration of the universe and they urgently need explorers to examine and explore this glitch in reality.
Starting today, you’ll be able to partake in the weekly community event assuming you’ve completed the first Space Anomaly mission. The task laid out is to explore and document the reborn galaxies. The first chapter of the community event takes place in a small corner of the galaxy where strange objects have begun appearing underground. You need to excavate and return them to the Space Anomaly for a Quicksilver reward.
Quicksilver is a new in-game currency for No Man’s Sky which, as far as I’m aware, is only attainable by completing weekly events. Quicksilver can be exchanged for a number of cosmetic including new base building parts, decals, emotes and character customisations. Over the coming weeks, these are expected to expand to 50+ items including exocraft customisations.
It’s great to see content being pumped into No Man’s Sky now that Next is fully grounded and I personally can’t wait to get back in my ship and explore the vast unknown.
