Sony have said that they have no plans to make PlayStation 2 and 3 titles compatible with the PlayStation Vita.
Earlier in the week, the first load of PlayStation 2 classics were shown on the PlayStation Store which made people question to whether they were able to played on the upcoming PS Vita.
However, in a Vita FAQ on the PlayStation Blog, Sony said the following:
“PlayStation does not have plans to make PS Vita compatible with PS3 or PS2 titles at this point, Users can play supported digital PSP titles and supported minis,”
PSone classics compatible with the upcoming handheld device will be announced once they are ready.
