The cloud gaming platform, OnLive, is set to launch in the UK on September 22nd at the opening of the Eurogamer Expo 2011 in London.
OnLive will launch with over 100 top-tier games instantly available for play via almost any broadband Internet connection throughout the UK on HDTV, PC, Mac, and iPad and Android tablets.

The biggest titles will be released the same second as their consoles and PC counterparts, available for great deals under a range of pricing plans, including OnLive’s flat-rate PlayPack bundle with over 70 games, rentals and full purchases.
You can sign up for free at www.onlive.co.uk right now, and get priority access, starting 22nd September with almost any PC or Mac via a small browser download, on the iPad or Android tablet via the free app, or on any HDTV via the OnLive Game System.
Here’s what OnLive Founder and CEO, Steve Perlman, had to say regarding today’s announcement:
“OnLive will utterly transform gaming in the UK. No discs, big downloads or specialised hardware needed. OnLive gives you the latest games instantly, anytime, anywhere on HDTV, PC, Mac, as well as iPad, Android tablets. High-performance gaming as accessible as streaming video, with unique social features such as massive spectating with voice chat and Facebook integration.”
OnLive in the UK will be fully integrated with the North American service, including trans-Atlantic massive spectating and voice chat, as well as multiplayer gaming for games suited for long-distance multiplayer. Subject to local rules and regulations, OnLive Player Tags will give members access to their account in any location the world where the service is available.
