PlayStation 4 Coming To Japan in 2014

In a move that may surprise some (we certainly were), Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 will launch in Japan on 22nd February 2014.

The reason for the late launch, according to Sony, is so that the publisher has more time to release content for the Japanese launch. Also, when you think about it, the delay actually makes a bit of sense and the Xbox One isn’t being released in Japan in 2013 either. Stalemate!

To sweeten the deal for Japanese gamers (more like soften the blow), Japan will get a special launch bundle imaginatively called the PlayStation 4 First Limited Pack. There will be no difference in price and it will come free with Knack!

For those of you interested in the price, the console is 41,979 yen. Bundled with the PlayStation Camera the price is 46,179 yen.

What do you reckon to the 2014 launch in Japan? The comments section is open!
