PlayStation 4 Doing Great However Sony Expect a Loss

by

Although the PlayStation 4 is doing fantastically well in terms of sales, it seems Sony as a company is expecting a loss.

They have today issued a warning that its 2014 financial year loss would be almost 20% worse than predicted earlier this year.

Sony’s expecting a fiscal year net loss of approximately £753m, which is 18% above the prediction given back in February. This is partly down to the company deciding to get rid of Vaio, as PC sales have fallen due to that reason.  Another reason is down to the overseas disc manufacturing business. It is said that demand for physical media is as they state “contracting faster than anticipated”.

Their final financial results will be posted on May 14th. Be sure to let us know your thoughts via the comment section below.
