Heather Pearl, Head of National Events at Macmillan Cancer Support stated:
We’re delighted that Game Changers is back for a second year and encouraging as many people as possible to get involved so that we can beat last year’s efforts. As well as asking people to tune in to Twitch on Saturday 6th August to watch their favourite pro gamers go head-to-head for 24-hours, we’re encouraging gamers to hold their own gameathon and get sponsored to do so. All money raised goes to Macmillan to help ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
Macmillan are also encouraging people to do their own 24-hour gaming marathons. It is a truly great charity and we urge you all to dig deep and donate to make a difference. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
