What PS3 owners love about the Playstation Network is the fact that the service is free and once they have their PS3 hooked up, it doesnt cost them a penny more to get online and Sony know this but it still doesnt stop them looking into other ways of improving the service.
Recently PSN boss Peter Dille told IGN that there is a possibility of adding a subscription payment model to the PSN. He stated, “I think there is just tremendous improvements to the PlayStation Network,” PSN boss Peter Dille told IGN. “It’s been our philosophy not to charge for it from launch up until now, but Kaz recently went on the record as saying that’s something we’re looking at. I can confirm that as well.
“That’s something that we’re actively thinking about. What’s the best way to approach that if we were to do that? You know, no announcements at this point in time, but it’s something we’re thinking about.”
