Sony has confirmed that Ratchet & Clank HD Collection will launch on the PlayStation 3 in Europe on May 16th.
The HD versions of the classic PS2 titles will be remastered by the studio, Idol Minds but original developer of the series, Insomniac Games have been working closely on the project as well. The HD collection will include the following Ratchet & Clank titles;
- Ratchet & Clank
- Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
- Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
It has been confirmed that the titles will have full 1080p HD remasters, feature 720p stereoscopic 3D, will include a platinum trophy for each of the games and also feature 8 player online competitive multiplayer which first appeared in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal on the PlayStation 2 when it was originally released back in 2004.
The collection has been confirmed for a May 16th release in Europe and a fall release in North America and although it’s a long gap between the European and North American releases, Sony has promised US gamers that they have something very special planned for the North American release to celebrate the Ratchet & Clank’s 10th anniversary.
