SEGA Unveil Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

If you were a fan of 2010′ Sonic & All-Stars Racing, you’ll be happy to know that SEGA has today announced that they’ll be releasing a sequel, titled Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

As the name suggests, the sequel will be introducing a similar mechanic to that seen in Mario Kart 7 where your vehicles transforms depending on what terrain you come across. Unlike its Nintendo counterpart, the change of terrain in SEGA’s racer will actually affect handling, introducing another element of challenge to the arcade racer. The game will, of course, also feature Sonic and a whole host of other well-known characters.

Check out the trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing will be released sometime in 2012 on pretty much every single platform known to man.
