EA’s upcoming city management game, SimCity will require gamers have an constant online internet connection.
This was confirmed to Joystiq by an EA representative. They were told that players will need to be constantly online via Origin in order to keep playing SimCity. This is regardless of whether players purchase the game through Origin. The always online internet connection is required due to the game’s focus on multiplayer and worldwide economies.
SimCity will also be available to purchase digitally outside of Origin but a finalized list was not yet available.
