SEGA have said that they plan to release the second episode of Sonic The Hedgehog 4 next year.
When the second episode is released in 2012, it will be a more than a year since the first episode was released. Sonic Team’s Takashi Iikuza explained that the delay was due to focusing on Sonic Generations for the blue hedgehog’s anniversary.
“This year, 2011, is the anniversary, so we’re focusing on the celebration title, But moving forward to 2012, Sonic will still be going, so I’d hope to provide Episode 2 then.” stated Iikuza.
