Sega have confirmed they have thrown in the original Sonic the hedgehog 1 in Sonic Generations.
The original retro classic has been included as an unlockable extra in the game. There is no word yet on how gamers will be able to unlock it but a simple ‘Complete the main story’ could be the achievement needed.
There is no confirmation of whether this is included in the 3DS version but it can be sure that we will find out soon.

Sonic Generations is set to be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 4th. A 3DS version will follow on November 25th.
