Sony have announced that production of the PlayStation 2 has now ended worldwide.
The successful console was first released in 2000 and lasted a fantastic 12 years in which there were many great games made including Metal Gear Solid and Crash Bandicoot.
This follows on from news last week that production was ended last week in Japan but now, Sony have confirmed to The Guardian that production has now stopped worldwide.
The PlayStation 4 is set to be announced this year but we would love to hear your memories of the PlayStation 2 via the comment section below.
