Don’t worry, there’s no major issue that will have reaching for the cancel pre-order button, but Sony has confirmed that it’s looking into the few PS4 hardware issues that have been reported so far.
The reports so far include mentions of a faulty HDMI jack (courtesy of Kotaku) and the PS4 turning on with nothing but a blue screen (courtesy of IGN and a competition winner).
Everyone’s favourite Sony employee Shuhei Yoshida took to Twitter to ease any concerns, stating the following:
Be assured we are investigating reported PS4 issues. The number is very small compared to shipped, we believe they are isolated incidents.

It does seem like very few people seem to be having these issues, which is good news, as both Kotaku and IGN stated other units (both pre-release and retail) have worked perfectly fine.
