The House of the Dead 3 & 4 Coming To PlayStation Network

by

SEGA has today announced that The House of the Dead 3 and 4 will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation Network.

The House of the Dead 3 will hit PlayStation Network on February 7th, and will be followed by the release of The House of the Dead 4 this spring. Both titles will feature updated HD graphics, trophies, and PlayStation Move support, which means you will be able to replicate that arcade shooter feeling from the comfort of your own living room.

For those of you who might not want to play with the PlayStation Move, The House of the Dead 3 will also be playable with a standard PlayStation 3 controller. In the case of The House of the Dead 4, its release in Spring on the PlayStation Network will be the first time the title has made an appearance on a home console. That makes you a rather lucky bunch of zombie shooting people. Well, in our books anyway!

Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America had this to say:

“The House of the Dead has always been one of SEGA’s most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners. The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters.”

To accompany the announcement, SEGA provided us with a trailer and a few screenshots of both HD remakes. Check out them out below, and be sure to let us know what you think.
