
Konami has just officially announced that The Simpsons Arcade Game will be coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network this month.
The classic will be released via Xbox LIVE Arcade on February 3rd, with the PlayStation Network version available soon after on February 8th. It will set you back 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 and $9.99 on the PlayStation 3. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, then you will get the game for free!
We have yet to receive word regarding the European release of the game, so at the moment the above information only applies to North American Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users. As soon as we get information about the European release, we’ll be sure to let you know.
UPDATE: The Simpsons Arcade Game will be available on Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points) in Europe today, and will hit the PlayStation Network (£7.99) on February 8th.
Just like when the old classic was released back in 1991, the re-release will see you and your friends take control of the Simpsons as they set out on a quest to save Maggie. A full list of the game’s features can be seen below.
