The Simpsons: Tapped Out Announced For iOS

by

EA have announced The Simpsons: Tapped Out for iOS Devices. The game will be a free-to-play title and will task players with rebuilding Springfield following a nuclear explosion caused by everyone’s favourite donut loving buffoon Homer.

For fans of the show, news that the show’s writers have contributed to the script for the game and the voice cast is also on board will help calm any worries.

According to CNET, it’s expected to be released on iOS within the next few weeks and will be free to download, with players given the option to make in-game purchases to boost their progress. An Android version is said to be on the way too. No release date as of yet though.

EA’s Bernard Kim has said the company “invested a lot” into the game. “It’s absolutely a top-tier development priority for us… We want this to be one of the biggest titles this year,” he added.

Last month The Simpsons Arcade was released on PSN and Xbox Live.
