Ive always thought how amazing it would be to have control of Nathan Drake in your hand with a PSP release of Uncharted and it seems Naughty Dog agree as well. In an interview joystiq.com, Naughty Dog’s co-president Evan Wells said the following –
“I think it would be fantastic to see the game (move) onto a handheld system”, “Each one of the episodes is sort of like a standalone thing and I think we could do that pretty easily. If we can find a partner to work with, I’d love to do that … we definitely wouldn’t do it ourselves. We’re trying to just focus on the PS3 technology and platform right now.” He added, laughing, “But, if we can’t find a partner, then maybe we’re going to have to find a budget ourselves.”
So it seems that Naughty Dog want it to happen but judging by Evan’s comments about Naughty Dog concentrating on the PS3 platform at this moment in time but he does hint at another developer making the game. It would be fantastic to have such a fantastic title on the PSP and its a game that PSP fans would love to see im sure. The tech is there and i cant see any reason why Uncharted wouldn’t be possible on the PSP. Fingers crossed something more comes of this and we do indeed see the Uncharted series on the PSP at some point in the near future.
