Sony have revealed details on an upcoming system update for the PlayStation 4.
Speaking via the PlayStation Blog, Sony have said the new update will come adding features and improvements to the sharing and streaming functionality.
One new feature that will be added is the ‘rich video editor’ which allows players to edit their videos. Users will also be able to save their screenshots and videos to a USB stick.
Another new feature will be the ‘HDCP off’ option. This will finally allow players to stream gameplay direct from a HDMI using a capture card.
Twitch is also set to be improved, giving players better quality broadcasts in 720p. Speaking about the update, Sony stated:
We recognise that some gamers want to record and share longer clips of their gameplay sessions, and we’re excited to deliver this option with PS4. There’s a lot more coming in this update as well, so stay tuned for more: there will be plenty in the update to excite everyone.
