Just hours before the Video Games Awards are due to kick off, the Metal Gear Solid: Rising trailer due to be unveiled at the show has been leaked.
The trailer shows Raiden in action as he slices and dices everything in sight, but there’s no doubting the biggest piece of news to come from the footage shown. Yes, that’s right, Platinum Games will be developing Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which explains why the slash ’em up was missing in action for a while.
Seeing as Rising is moving away from the usual stealth based Metal Gear Solid gameplay, it’s a move that makes perfect sense when you consider Platinum Games developed the quite excellent Bayonetta. Check out the trailer below, and be sure to let us know your thoughts when you’re done.
