Winning Eleven 2011 dominates in Japan, outselling FIFA 11 10 to 1.
A role reversal then in their own country, Konami saw WE 2011 sell 215, 257 copies in it’s opening weekend. With FIFA 11 breaking various sales records worldwide, it’s a relief for Seabass and his team to know they still have a firm grip over EA’s juggernaut in Japan. FIFA 11 sold just under 20, 000 copies in it’s launch week, meaning WE 2011 outsold it rival in a similar ratio to what FIFA achieved in the UK.
Goes to show how different things are across the world.
