THQ have announced that well-known WWE arcade game made popular in the 1990s, WWE WrestleFest is now available on the iPhone and iPad.
WWE WrestleFest is packed with current-day WWE Superstars, WWE Legends, an extensive DLC program, Road to WrestleMania progression play and also features multiplayer functionality. The game is available through the Apple App store for £1.99 (iPhone) and £2.49 (iPad).
THQ have also announced that WWE WrestleFest is also in development for Android Phones, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC which a scheduled release of window calendar year 2012.
WWE WrestleFest has been recreated with the classic arcade experience. Superstars include John Cena, The Rock, Randy Orton, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and Macho Man Randy Savage. Match times include Royal Rumble, Tag Team, Gauntlet and Steel Cage whilst gamers can compete in renowned events such as Raw, SmackDown, WrestleMania and Saturday Night Main Event. The Road to WrestleMania encourages gamers to select a WWE Superstar or Legend and compete in a series of challenges to win five different WWE Titles. Wireless connectivity through the Apple Game Centre allow’s gamers to issue multiplayer challenges.
WWE WrestleFest will be also updating the gameplay experience after the launch which released of an additional 30 WWE Superstars and Legends and new arenas through the game’s extensive DLC program. Items currently scheduled for a future release include CM Punk, Triple H, Sheamus, Shawn Michaels, Big Boss Man and the classic Survivor Series arena.
