Microsoft have announced the Xbox LIVE Gold Unlock Weekend which runs from March 8th – 10th, sponsored by BioShock Infinite.
All players can access amazing online gaming and premier entertainment all for free on that weekend. During the weekend, there will be unmissable events such as ‘Rockstar Friday’. Here, players can challenge the developers in multiplayer matches on GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption and Midnight Club LA. This will run Friday 8th March 12:00pm – 5:00pm GMT.
Other titles with special events will include Halo 4, Borderlands 2, Tomb Raider, FIFA Ultimate Team, Forza Horizon, Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed 3. In addition, online multiplayer functionality will be unlocked across all Xbox games, so get on Xbox LIVE with your friends for an amazing weekend of gaming.
Fans can also experience the best in living room entertainment using Kinect and Bing to voice search content on their TV, as well as take advantage of the Xbox Music Pass to stream millions of songs on their Xbox console. If you’re in the mood for a blockbuster movie check out Skyfall and more on Xbox Video, or see what takes your fancy with some of the other entertainment partners on Xbox LIVE such as LOVEFiLM, Netflix and Now TV. Internet Explorer and SmartGlass are other great features that players can try during the free weekend.
