Yooka YAY-lee
It’s been a long time coming but the release date for Yooka-Laylee has been announced – December 14th!
Pre-orders for Yooka-Laylee open up on the Nintendo Store on December 7th and as it stands this will be the only place to buy the game. No physical version of the game has been announced, yet.
The Switch version of Yooka-Laylee includes all updates and fixes from the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions including the improved camera, controls and a bunch of other treats. A brand-new achievement system is also being along with single Joy Con play across all 8 multiplayer modes.
The Playtonic team has spent many, many months optimising Yooka-Laylee for Nintendo Switch (with technical help and support from Nintendo and Unity themselves!) and we believe we’re delivering a version Nintendo fans can be proud of.
Here’s hoping those month’s spent waiting for the Switch version won’t be in vain but early indications are that Yooka-Laylee shines on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
