With around 14 hours to go until the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter finishes up, Yu Suzuki has released a video thanking backers and asked those who haven’t to get off their cheap backsides to part with some cash.
Okay, the last part I made up, but he definitely has released a video thanking people that have backed Shenmue 3 so far. The Kickstarter has already broken the record for quickest game to reach $1 million, and Suzuki believes another miracle can happen in the last 24 hours of the campaign. I guess that’s kind of asking people to back Shenmue 3 if they haven’t already. Well, in a much politer way than I put it anyway!

At the moment the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter stands at just over $5.5 million, very close to matching or even beating the current game record of $5.6 million held by Bloodstained. Can Yu Suzuki and his team break another Kickstart record? Will the game be any good? What will I have for lunch today? So many questions!
